Gain the knowledge to be responsible for Lumesse data-centre network infrastructure including LAN/WAN components such as switches, routers and firewalls.

Capacity management of data-centre local and wide area bandwidth, reporting on utilisation and growth of demand

Oversight of firewall change requests originating from Technical Services engineers being directed to Lumesse firewall management partner.

IP and DNS service management (public and private ranges).

Management of Cisco network device configurations to ensure continued and smooth operation of production services.

IP range management across a large estate of IP enabled devices

Execution of responsibilities consistent with the Employee IT Policy and standard procedures within the Technical Services team such as Change Control and Incident Management

Overtime, availability to support the resolution of operational incidents outside of normal working hours

Support the management of configuration and archiving systems

Understand the issues involved with administrating and maintaining the Lumesse infrastructure, including network connectivity, Internet access, VPN’s etc
- Day to day operational contact with service providers of networking and security services
- Overtime, provide support to engineering colleagues requiring configuration changes and new services in the area of data centre networking and firewall security (firewall security managed by 3rd party)
- Prepares quotations for hardware and services to support required changes or new services
- Demonstrates resource usage and capacity in regular reports to management, highlighting any service risks and improvement opportunities

1-3 years’ experience of working in a network role

Demonstrable some hands-on experience working with Cisco network infrastructure in production environments

Some experience managing Checkpoint Firewalls

Have understanding of VPN technologies site to site and Remote VPN
-
Some experience managing enterprise VPN and remote VPN connections
-
Some hands-on experience within data-centre environments
-
Excellent spoken and written communication skills, including English language
-
Understanding of network protocols
-
Understanding of basic networking in a datacentre environment
-
Understanding of OSI reference model
-
Technical background in IT
-
Well organised, excellent team member
-
Good problem solving skills

CCNA certified or working towards it
-
Experience working with SaaS delivery model

University degree in Computer Science (or relevant related degree).
